Snapshots

Lanie is like the archive specialist from our high school days.

She's always coming up with these totally random photos from our past that makes me wonder why I never felt the need to pick up a pair of tweezers in my youth.

Enjoy.

Here's Erik at one of my birthday parties at my parents house.

This is probably when I was a junior or senior in high school. (Lanie, help me out here.)

Erik is doing the crazy African ant eater seduction dance to Laurie. Quite flexible!

Here is Jen, me and Shirley back in the day. I think this is maybe 1992?

We're at Lanie's house and who knows what we're going. Again, my eyebrows have a life of their own and are even stealing attention away from Jens shirt. Eeek!

This is me with my friend Darryl and some girl he was dating at the time.

I don't remember her name because I had a crush on him and she held no importance to me other than being in my way.

I invited him to my 17th birthday party and hoped for the best.

Turns out she was pretty cool and so I decided to back down. I even took this photo to show there were no hard feelings. Aren't I a team player!

Notice the DJ in the background?

That's not one of those DJ services you call for wedding or Barmitzfas (is that how you spell it? I guess I have never spelled it before. Erik, how far off am I on this?) Oh no, that there is a real dj.

A homeboy if you will.

He was a friend of a friend and he was doing DJ gigs in clubs around LA and I asked him to spin at my party. Because that's how I roll.

Come to think of it, every party I ever had I wanted a DJ there.

I think I only actually got one on my 16th birthday and 17th birthday. I always had to have music and dancing.

I guess not much has changed since then.

Thanks to my homeskillet Lanie for the awesome photos!

Hey Gina! Thanks for the shout out. I am still trying to gather up lots of old photos for s scrapbook that I am putting together. We should have a photo party. That would be fun! :)
