Jess walked off stage

The Kennedy Center Honors were held in DC last night and Jessica Simpson was scheduled to perform a tribute to Dolly Parton.

Well, everything started off fine. She came onstage and started to sing “9 to 5,” but suddenly messed up the lyrics and started to breakdown.

She then told the audience she was “so nervous” and walked offstage. There was nothing bu silence. No clapping or acknowledgement. Just awkard silence.

She came back for the finale, but was in tears.

There's no confirmation of what happened, but one rumor is that she had just found out about her very good friend, Lane Garrison, being involved in the car accident that killed a 17 year old boy.
