End of an era

We spent most of our high school life firmly planted on the patio of this coffee house and did a lot of our growing up there.
Chances are you would run into someone you had a crush on. Or someone that owed you money. Or someone that you could bum a cigarette off.
Because we startesd young, by the time we were seniors, we ruled the patio. We were legends and people wanted to be us. (Um, ok, maybe not "legends" so to speak, but we did own that turf. Something to brag about? Maybe not..)
We used to hang out there so much that I remember at one point they had security guards there on the weekends. Like it was a club or a rave or something. Did we really need a bumch muscle for high school kids drinking tea and eating Wendys from next door?
It was a meeting spot for friends, a hangout crash pad if there was nothing to do. If you were looking for someone past 7pm, chances are, they were at Diedrichs.

And now it's gone. They closed down on Monday due to slow business. Not that it mattered all that much as Starbucks has bought them out anyway. Booo.
It's the end of an era ladies and gentleman. Thanks Diedrichs. We'll miss you.

FYI- Here is some more information on the closing for those NH regulars. Cut and paste...
