Dunzo on TV

Just in case you were wondering....

Does anyone know anything about "Related?" It was a really good show that was on and just never came back. Did anyone see it?

Nic is gaining some weight

Yikes! That before photo in the yellow bikini is just painful to look at. But the after photo shows some meat on her bones. Ok, so she's still way too skinny, but it's an improvement. Come on Nicole, you can do it! How hard could it really be? A couple trips to Burger King, and few cases of beer..you'll be good to go!

It's a boy for Gwen

Gwen gives birth!

According to People Magazine: "Gwen Stefani and her husband of three years, rocker Gavin Rossdale, welcomed their first child together on Friday – a 7 1/2 lb. baby boy named Kingston James McGregor Rossdale. Stefani gave birth at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Both mother and child are doing well, said her rep. "

You know that's going to be a good looking baby boy! Pretty cool name too.

Angie gives birth

Angelina finally had her baby!

SHILOH NOUVEL JOLIE-PITT was born Saturday night in Namibia. The name Shiloh is found in the Bible and reportedly means "the peaceful one."

Any guesses on how much that baby photo will be worth? If her and Brad are smart, they will have one occasion where they let the press take as many photos as they want, all at the same time. That's what Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick did. So clever. Then the press isn't fighting over who gets the first photo.

So that makes three kids for her. Is she and Brad going to get married? Do you think she's a homewrecker? Do you think her brother is the father of Shiloh? Remember how creepy they were kissing all over the red carpet? Look at the photo...that's just gross. Who kisses their brother that way? Eyes are closed, lips puckered....just so wrong! Discuss!

I knew it

Ok, so we can all stop wondering. After all the attention Jared Leto received last week when he announced – over IM, no less – that he as gay as a goose, it has now been shouted from the rooftops that Jared was "just kidding," according to his publicist Robin Baum.

Sweet!

Gay or Nay?

So AOL did an instant message chat with Jordan Catal...err..I mean Jared Leto. In this interview, he said that he was gay, and now it's the new rumor circulating. I don't believe it. I can maybe believe that he's experimented, but not flat out gay. Read the interview here and decide for yourself.

Baby Gwen or Baby Gavin?

According to US Weekly, Gwen should be a proud Mama right now!

"A very pregnant Gwen Stefani and rocker husband Gavin Rossdale arrived at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles this morning where doctors plan to induce labor and deliver the couple’s child via C-section at noon PST.

Rossdale dropped his wife off at the maternity ward, parked Stefani’s silver Range Rover and 'seemed a little nervous and he checked the baby car seat before he got out,' according to a witness. Rossdale then took the elevator to the maternity ward. 'Gwen was wearing her signature red lipstick and looked so excited,' the onlooker added"

You just know they're kids are going to be gorgeous!

In the closet

There is a hard core rumor going around the industry that Mike Myers is gay. I know he just got divorced from his wife and the rumors have been hush hush for some while now. To my gays (yes Erik and Jesse, that's you) what do you think? I say who cares? He's funny and brilliant and that's that!

Street Walker Spears?

Oh Brit Brit, why are you so trashy? It looks like you're trying to go for the classy and sexy "Christina Aguleria" with the red lips and sky high platforms. But Christina doesn't have awful hair, tired roots, trashy dress and loser husband. I'm afraid you're looking more like Courtney Love. Good effort though.

I still think she can make a comeback. With a good stylist, a good album and a good divorce lawyer. I still love ya Brit!

Foo coming to town

Oh my gosh....The Foo is coming back!!!!

If you know anything about me, you know that the Foo are one of my favorite bands. So you can imagine how excited I am to hear that Foo fighters are doing a US acoustic tour!!! I can hardly stay in my seat I'm so excited!!!! Dave Grohl, one of the most talented musicians (and easy on the eyes) will be getting on stage with his guitar and his mouth full of gum and rocking in old skool style.

The only Cali shows that have been announced so far are Berkeley and San Diego. Come on OC. Come on Anaheim Pond. Come on Long Beach Arena. Gimmie something. They will probably play Los Angeles, and you can bet your sweet ass that I will be there. And I'm sure Matty will be too. And Fi. And Shane. Well, I know it will be me and Fi for sure. I haven't mentioned it to her yet, but I know she'll go. She's a down ass chick. And we love the Foo.

Taylor gets what he deserves

Woo Hoo! Tay Tay brought it home last night! Matt, Fi, Shane, Shirley and myself cracked open a bottle of champagne (any excuse) and cheered out loud when Taylor was declared the new American Idol. It was a pretty ok show, compared to past shows. Chris singing with Live was ridicoulously amazing and perfect! Dang he's good! Guest appearance by Meatloaf (ouch, may be time to retire) Mary J (you go girl) and Dionne Warwick (uh oh, I think "thats what friends are for" has had a good run and it may be time to let it go) but the one that blew me away was Prince. He can totally rock 6 inch stilletos and bronzer like no other man can!

Did anybody almost fall out of their chair when Clay Aiken walked onto the stage? It didn't even look like him. That hair was something else. I actually liked it though. It was like a new Clay, emerging from hiding after all those gay internet rumors...you know, the ones of him having dirty one night stands with random men he met online. Naughty Clay.

We were so happy that Taylor won, but I don't think anyone was as happy as David Hasselhoff! What was up with him crying? Are him and Paula in kahoots? Was he crying because the only place his singing career took off is in Germany? Or was it because there is talks of doing a Knight Rider movie, and he is not being approached to be in it. Dang! That's rough! How can you have Kit and no Michael?

I don't know if it was the champagne talking, but Fi and I are actually considering going to the AI tour at the pond. Before you start throwing your arms up in confusion and anger, hear me out. How fun would it be to get nice and toasted before we go, and then scream for Chris and Elliott with all the other grade school girls and their desperate for attention soccer moms. We think it would be a knee slapping kind of fun. But that's just me and Fi for you. We like a challange and can usually make any situation a fun one:)

So, who's in?

Tuesday, May 23, 2006

And then there were 2

So who's it going to be? Kathatine or Taylor? They're both good and they will both probably have record deals, so is it as exciting as it has been before? And by before, I mean the first season with Miss Kelly Clarkson.

Ok, here's some info about tonight and tomorrow's performance. No winner is revealed of course, just info like song choices, guest stars etc. So if you don't want to know, skip this post.

Katharine McPhee and Taylor Hicks will each sing 3 tunes tonight at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood. Taylor will sing Levon by Elton John and Living for the City by Stevie Wonder.

The new song he will sing which will become the Idol single is called Do I Make You Proud written by Tracy Ackerman, Andrew John Watkins and Paul David Wilson. Paul Wilson and Tracy Ackerman have worked with Lisa Stansfield, Al Green, Tina Turner, the Spice Girls, and S Club.

Katharine will sing the two songs, Somewhere Over the Rainbow and Black Horse and the Cherry Tree. The single she will perform is called My Destiny.

The line-up for tomorrow's finale is continuing to grow. So far there is Carrie Underwood, Clay Aiken, Live with Chris Daughtry (this is going to be amazing and makes tuning in worth it!) Elliott Yamin with Mary J. Blige, Meat Loaf and Daniel Powter....

Dionne Warwick will perform That's What Friends are For (I'm gagging.) Bucky Covington and Kevin Covais will also sing Burt Bacharach songs (oh geez Bucky..Burt Bacharach? Really?) Paris Bennett will perform with Al Jarreau( he's still alive?) The Idol girls will perform a rendition of I'm Every Woman/Natural Woman/I Feel Like a Woman by Chaka Kahn, Aretha Franklin and Shania Twain.

This will no doubt be the longest and most annoying 2-hours of National TV ever! But you know you'll tune it to see who wins. My vote is still for Taylor. Did anyone see the skit on SNL on Saturday with an impression of him and he was doing all his jerks and wind ups and yelling "soul patrol!" and it was actually pretty funny. Wow. Did I just say SNL and "funny" in the same sentence? Weird. Remember his audition? If not, check it out here.

Any bets on how drunk Paula will be tonight?

Thanks bank guy

So I was just at the bank and I was standing in line to make the check deposit for work, and it's Friday so of course there's a lot of people wanting to deposit their paychecks (hello people, have you not caught on to that whole direct deposit thing? People carpool to cut down on traffic and pollution, so people should get direct deposit to eliminate the insane lines at the bank on Fridays!) Ok, sorry, I got a little off track...

So anyway, I'm standing in this long line, everyone is slowly shuffling forward and thinking "I can't believe they killed Marissa off the OC last night, and in such a lame way, and what the hell does Jesse see in Ryan Atwood? He's not hot in the slightest bit" Then, this guy about my age (when I was in my 20's) in front of me turns around and says "There's a spider near your foot." I'm sorry, what? Did he just say spider? And did he just say it so calmly as if he was saying "nice day out" or "I know, right? They could have killed Marissa off a little bit more dramatically!.

I was alarmed at the calmness in his voice because I'm used to it being said in a shrill panicked voice more like "holy shit balls, there's a spider, a spider, A SPIIIIIIDDERRR!!!" And it's usually Fi on the other end of the panic button. We don't like spiders. They make our skin crawl. We'd rather pass out then have to attempt to pick one up in a tissue and set it free. Or even kill it for that matter. But when we lived together (one of the best times in my life) and we took care of eachother as if we were an old married couple (which is a good thing) and there was a spider around, I wore the pants. I'd grab the Kleenex and free Fi from the spiders grasp.

Except one time when we were cleaning the back yard at 1:30am on a school night in preparation for Matty's big surprise birthday party. We were having a few beers, washing down chairs and scrubbing the patio when all of a sudden, Fi let out a blood curling scream that made the leaves drop of the trees. There was a spider and it was out for blood. Her blood to be exact. The thing was huge. It was so big that Fi sworn up and down that he was smoking a cigar. And I totally believed her. Yea, I know. Scary right?

Ok, so the spider at the bank wasn't nearly that big, but it was on the floor and it was scurrying towards my toes that were freely exposed by my flip flops (and even though the spider didn't get me, it still feels like there is one crawling in between my toes. Ugh! It's all in my head, I know.)

And this stranger was nice enough to warn me to get out of the way. He could have not said anything. Would I have said anything? And if I did, would it have been as calmly as that? He saved my life. Well, ok, not really. But he did a good deed. And I will pay it forward.

Oh, and I know I always put some kind of photo with my posts, but given the subject, I felt it was ok to pass this one time. No one needs to look at at spider while trying to read a blog. In fact, no one needs to look at a spider, period. Am I right Fi?

DUNZO

DJ AM and Nicole are once again kaput. Make up your minds people. No one knows the reason behind the split yet, but I'm sure everyone will have their own ideas.

American Idol

Did you watch American Idol last night? It's getting down to the wire. I like Katharine and think she has a great voice, but she's just kind of boring. Safe. Her voice is incredible and she will be succesful no matter what, but her personality is a snore. Will she be the next to go? I don't know. It's between her and Elliot. Taylor isn't going anywhere.

Sorry Fi and Lanie, but I am sticking with Taylor to win.

By the way, doesn't Paul have a publicist or manager to tell her not to drink before and during the show? It's just so sad.

Na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye

McCartney and Mills to separate!

After four years together, Paul and Heather are dunzo. They're blaming the media....oh please. Come on Paul, I expected more from you then that. I think blaming the media is the new blaming Yoko.

BBC has the story here.

Exta! Extra!

BABY UPDATE!

My Godson Nicolas is still gorgeous, perfect and amazing!

Just thought you'd want to know:)

1 out of 2 aint bad

Horse shit! There is no other way to describe last nights American Idol. I'm not worried about Chris though because he will have lots of success, probably more than if he was to win the competition. It's still bullshit though. I have nothing more to say on the subject except that. If you want to know more, go here.

My new prediction is that Taylor will be this seasons American Idol. Anyone that has a Pac Man game with their likeness is doing something right. Want to play? Go here.

I was right about Sara going home. It's about time. Did anyone count how many times the words "found in a mall" were mentioned last night. More times than "Tyra Mail."

I want Jade to get drop kicked out of there, but she does take good photos. Urgggh! Why Jade? Why can't you take photos that suck? My two favs Bonnie and Danielle and still going strong. D needs to work on that accent or she'll find herself in the bottom 2 again..and maybe even out the door.

Who's it gonna be?

Here are my predictions of who is going home tonight:

American Idol-Katharine Mcphee
I too once had the Mcpheever, but she has lost her excitement and drive. Last nights performance was not what she was capable of and I felt like she was feeling defeated before she even begun. She has a great voice, and will have no problem getting work.

I'm sure Elliott or Taylor would be a more logical choice of who's going home, but I have a feeling that they both sneaked into the top three last night. And I'm still standing by my original pick of Chris to win the whole thing. Although, that would be pretty predictable huh? Who know's, it could be the dark horse and Elliott could surprise us all. (You better start calling in Fi and Lanie. I don't want to hear the sobs if he goes home and you did nothing to keep him there.)

One think I know for sure. Paula Abdul is officially insane. Doesn't she have a publicist who can advise her to not hit that bottle of JD before going on the air? I mean really...I'm just embarrassed for her.

America's Next Top Model-Sara

I don't know how this chick is still around. She has left no impression on me besides "that's the chick they found in the mall." And I only know that because it seems it's all she ever talks about. Her photos are nothing amazing, her personality is nothing amazing. I feel nothing. Sorry Sara, but it's true. I think it's time for her to say bye-bye to the other girls and get back to The Gap.

I wish they could eliminate two people tonight because Jade get's on my nerves so much. I am so ready to see her get her ass kicked out of there. She keeps insisting that she's the most down to earth, real people in the house and she's full of it. She's catty, bitchy and a liar. And she's not even pretty. Is it me or does she look like a tranny? I have to believe the only reason she's still in the game is because of ratings. She bugs and if she makes it into the top two, I will protest and never watch ANTM again!

I think the top two will be Danielle and Joanie. I love both these bitches and think that either would be great. If they don't end up the last two standing, I will get in my car, drive over to Tyra's house and tell her she's lost her mind. Oh, and I'd also tell her to get rid of Twiggy (snore-fest!) and bring back Janice! (Old, drunk, skanky models are way more fun!)

Laters!

p.s. one more thing...Janice may be the worlds first supermodel, but the worlds most ANNOYING model was Amanda!!! Yes yes, we all know you're going blind and that soon you will be completly blind, and that you can barely see now blah blah blah! She wasn't going blind, only when she need that crutch to lean on. I almost stopped watching ANTM because od how annoying she was. Almost.

Not yet

Courtney started having contractions yesterday afternoon! We all got to the hospital, but in the end, the nurse sent her home. Although she is technically in labor, it's too soon. I feel so bad for my Sis because those contractions were rocking her pretty hard.

I wouldn't be surprised if Baby Nicholas came today. Hello, Cinco de Mayo is only one of the biggest drinking holidays of the year. Perfect for parents who used to be close friends with Jose Cuervo. Ole!

Real or Fake?

Ok, it's time to play a little game.

Real or Fake?
Did these celebs have plastic surgery or is it just good lighting?

Better or worse?
It's quite obvious that these celebs went under the knife. The question is, was it worth it?

Shaq's baby girl

I told you about Kobe and Vanessa having a baby girl yesterday, but did I mention that Shaq and his wifey also welcomed a baby girl on the same day? Man, talk about competitive!

People reports "Shaquille O'Neal and his wife, Shaunie Nelson, welcomed a new daughter, Me'arah Sanaa O'Neal, on Monday. The baby girl, who weighed 8 lbs., 1 oz., and was 21 1/2 inches long, was born at 4:57 a.m. (EST) in Miami. "

I guess this makes them the Tom Cruise/Brooke Shields of basketball.

Paris wastes no time

As you know (or maybe you don't) after an eight-month romance, Paris Hilton and Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos have called it quits. The word is that Paris dumped him because he wanted Paris to spend the summer on his yacht, but she didn't want to party with kids on a boat. She wants to promote her album. Gee, the nerve of Stavros. What a tough life these kids are living.

Anyway, this post isn't about their break up, but more about who's she's rumored to be seeing now. Relax, she stayed single for about 4 hours before she pounced again.

I hate to even post this because I don't want Fiona to get mad at me. But I'd rather she hear it from me...

Us Weekly reports "On May 1st, Hilton was back in L.A. where she met Arizona Cardinals’ first-round draft pic Matt Leinart for lunch, sparking rumors that the pair are dating. But a source close to Hilton tells Us, 'There’s an attraction but they haven’t hooked up.' The source also says that despite reports that Leinart and Hilton saw a movie on May 1, they only 'ducked inside the theater to avoid photographers.'

Yes, that's Paris in the brown wig.

Here's video of them at "The Grove" shopping center in L.A. To be honest, Matt doesn't look like he's having much fun and looks pretty bored.

I'm sorry Fi, I know Matt is your man, and this is hard to hear. You're so much better than Paris. Do you want me to kick his ass? Just say the word!

Welcome Baby Bryant

Kobe Bryant and his wife, Vanessa, welcomes baby number 2!

"The arrival of our daughter early this morning is an incredible blessing for me and my family," Bryant said in a statement. "We are all full of beautiful emotions after what has been such an incredible day."

He's of course referring to Sundays playoff game where he scored the winning shot in overtime. Apparntly, he headed to the hospital right after the game to be there for the arrival of his baby girl.

Their daughter, Gianna Maria-Onore Bryant , was born in the OC at 2:03 a.m. on Monday, weighing 6 lbs., 7 oz. She is 18 1/2 inches long.

Congrats!

Is it September yet?

So kids, do you know what today is? Let me give you a hint. Duuum dum da duuum. Yep, it's exactly 4 months until the wedding. 16 weeks from this very moment, the guests will be seated and my bridesmaids will start their decent down the isle of St. Pauls Greek orthodox Church. And I will be at the back of the Church, trying not to pass out. My knees are knocking just thinking about it. I will be clutching onto my Dad's arm for dear life and trying not to throw up in my mouth. How am I going to make it all the way down the isle in one piece?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not talking about nerves or second thoughts here. I'm talking about the sheer excitement and disbelief that the day is finally almost upon me when I get to marry "the one." Sometimes I think life is playing a trick on me. Fi and I went out for dinner and drinks last night and were talking about this. How is it that we are so blessed have amazing friends, incredible families and extrordinary men? That's three out of three! I didn't think it exsisted, but I guess the jokes on me. Because here I am, about to marry a guy that means more to me than I ever thought possible.

So, 122 days from now, it's on like donkey kong. I don't know how I'm going to keep myself from bawling from the moment I wake up. Can you imagine? I'm crying all the way down the isle, through the ceremony, in all the photos...lol. Ok, it won't be that bad, but I will be teary for a good portion of the day. You have to understand, it's not like I just met this guy. It's not as if we dated for three years and got along pretty well and figured "I guess we should get married now." No, it's nothing like that. This is MATT! This is the guy that has been in my life in some way or another since I was in the 8th grade. He's seen me make all my mistakes. He's seen me at my best and my worst. We have history. And after 17 years of us being in each others lives....we're going to be married. It's as if it's all been leading up to this....and I couldn't ask for anything more.

Games and beers and karaoke, oh my!

What a super fun weekend! Friday night was game night at my place. Old skool friends and new skool friends merged together and it was like one big delicous cupcake. We watched the Lakers game, drank beers, did shots, cheers'd each other with Jauger bombs, played Taboo, rocked Celebrity and then at midnight we moved the party to Shane and Fi's to belt out a little Karaoke. Yes, even thought we're getting older, we can still be rockstars.

And that was just Friday night! The rest of the weekend was fun filled aswell! Saturday we all headed down to HB Brewary for some beers and sunshine to celebrate Claudia and Fiona's birthday. Fi had the entire back patio reserved for us so we were ballin' and continued the whole "rock star" theme.

It was a rad afternoon but I don't have time to blog about it all, sorry! I have to run off to tap. If I'm late for the shim sham, Fi will have my head! Laters!
